Victims To Go To The Police : Churches

"TWO of Australia's largest churches say it's up to the people who were sexually abused as children to go to the police."

Is it any wonder so many people were victimised by Catholic Priests when this was the attitude of the churches? 

I am not a religious person but I was brought up to believe that the church was there to look after the parishioners, a sort of community based on collective belief and faith.

But every story you read about the past just illustrates that the church was there to look after themselves and not the parishioners, in particular the young ones.

So much is thrown at Politicians for breaking promises, but these bastards broke the trust and the hearts of people who were innocent and believed in them.

My question is why do people act like it's over? Where there's repressed men, there should not be children.
