I am over it and have just about had enough of this overused term - Game Changer.
It's everywhere and people are using it in the most ridiculous fashion and as a result they are dropping a wealth of vocabulary and replacing it with this dumb-sounding new buzz-word.
So what is a game changer? Well its an act that turns the course or momentum of a sporting game.
So is this term only being used to describe sporting events? No - its even describing a new pizza.
It has been used by gay activists when describing the new Marriage Equality law reform in New Zealand, citing it as a game-changer for Australia's progress on the same matter.
It is rife in commercials from the huge Domino's campaign to small changes to how a business is operating.
Journalists are using it in the questions they ask, and politicians and other influential personalities are using it in their statements and replies.
It's a dumb term, and it makes smart people sound stupid.
Find your vocab and eliminate these mind numbing buzz words.
I hope this blog brings about a change in the flippant use of this term, but I certainly wouldn't wish it be a ....G.C.
